How buses flow in and out of Tomarata School each day.
Three buses bring children to Tomarata each morning, and two of them run a second trip. WF1.1 arrives at 7.57am from Tomarata Valley Road, School Road and Pakiri Block Road, then carries straight on as WF1.2 to Wayby Valley Road and Rustybrook Road, reaching Rodney College at 8.30am and Wellsford School at 8.35am. WF17.1 arrives at 8.00am from Te Hana, Mangawhai Road, Ryan Road, Cemetery Road, Red Hill Road and Ocean View Road.
WF17 then goes straight back out and returns at 8.15am as WF17.2, with the children from Tomarata Valley Road. WF18.2 arrives last at 8.33am, coming out from Wellsford by Waiteitei Road, Silver Hill Road, Parker Road and Pool Road. That bus spends its first trip taking Pakiri Road children in to Rodney College, which is why it reaches Tomarata after the others.
Two buses leave at 2.35pm on short loops close to school, and both are back by 2.55pm. WF17.1 runs out along Tomarata Valley Road and turns at number 269 at 2.45pm. WF18.1 loops around Pakiri Block Road, reaching Rahuikiri Road at 2.45pm.
Both then set off again. WF17.2 leaves at 2.55pm by School Road for Ocean View Road, Red Hill Road, Cemetery Road and Ryan Road, reaching SH1 at Mangawhai Road at 3.30pm and Te Hana at 3.35pm. WF18.1 leaves at 3.02pm by School Road for Silver Hill Road, then carries on down Whangaripo Valley Road, reaching Rodney Street in Wellsford at 3.29pm.
There is no afternoon WF1. Tomarata Valley Road is covered in the afternoon by WF17.1 and Pakiri Block Road by WF18.1, so a child's morning bus and afternoon bus are often not the same one. Each direction has its own route and its own stop.
