Emergency route operations

Emergency route operations

As the pandemic escalates throughout New Zealand, bus operators all around the country will struggle to source enough drivers to continue school bus operations. As a result, it is expected that school bus routes will be severely impacted.

Where possible, pairs of routes will be combined to ensure that there is a service available to everyone who needs it. As a result, some bus routes will commence earlier, some bus routes will arrive at school later. In some cases, routes will be modified. As the situation worsens, some bus routes are likely to be cancelled.

If your bus route is cancelled, you will be required to make your own arrangements to get students to school.

Please note: some changes to school bus routes may happen with very little notice. From 2022 onwards, this website is your best source for school bus information, not your school.
